SH-SRM-12 gas insulated switchgear (GIS) with primary circuit and main component in sealed stainless steel cabinet, SF6 as insulating medium, the inlet and outlet terminals are connected through cable connectors to ensure its fully insulated and fully sealed of ring main unit, which is not affected by external environment. The protection grade of gas tank reaches to IP67. The outer parts of gas tank are specially designed and surface treated to resist condensation and resist flood in gas box.

For high and ultra-high voltage fields (such as 72.5kV and above):
SF6 circuit breakers are still a better and almost the only option at present. Because at this voltage level, the technology of vacuum circuit breakers is not yet mature, and the insulation and arc extinguishing capabilities of SF6 gas are crucial for achieving equipment miniaturization and reliability. However, the field is also actively developing environmentally friendly gas alternatives.
